Our top gains, Week 08
Raising a child in quarantine is definitely not easy. The love we've been receiving from friends and family this first couple of months however, even from afar is immense! The Covid-Method as I like to call it was a great challenge to re-evaluate the people in our lives. During this past year, whether we wanted it or not, we established whom stayed actively in our circle of people. It's not easy for relationships to survive distance, lack of proper communication and togetherness. Yet I am so glad for the few people that had accompanied us throughout this new for all pandemic journey.
Between all the gifts that we received there are some that really stood out for their efficacy during tummy time. I'm sure all new mums are being bombarded daily on the importance of tummy time. I feel ya! I would like to add a note on this. There is not a standard recipe on how much is enough when it comes to parenting. I spend hours daily worrying if what I do is enough, or if I am doing everything good enough. I believe the secret lies in accepting that what you do is truly enough, no matter what everybody else says or does. Every parent and every child is different. And all that we do, is what matters.
When it comes to Tummy Time, it's all about activities on soft toys, baby play mats and contrast cards! We don't always find the time to do all the above or to use all the below, but we are trying our best. Every day is different so we take each one of them as they come. Oh, and we love all Little Dutch products so, so much!
